New Health & Beauty Products at Y.O.U.

WWhooooa!!!!  YOU Family,
I’m a little pooped.  I have been having a good time being creative learning and getting new things for the salon.  Fair warning coming into the salon this week, my creativity is at it’s peak…. All that to say
I’m taking a couple of days off next week.  I will be back in the salon Friday, May 4 2012.
PAL Youth Dance
The Show with PAL youth was great, Jeanette and I did their make-up and hair and it was incredible seeing them come to life.   The confidence was like flowers blooming like they had a shot of fertilizer…
Atlantic City. Master Show
It was amazing talent from all over the world.  Yes, he was cutting her hair up-side down.  It was all on
another level! Here are some of my favorite pictures…
New York, International Beauty Show
This year I had the pleasure to work with James Harris “Hair Drama”…as you can see lots of hair drama.
NEW “STUFF”
I purchased an aroma therapy food support tool.  I fell in love with this concept.  It is a support pen.  You carry it with you and if you are hungry it helps curb your appetite.  It has sweet fennel, geranium, patchouli and essential oils.  The kicker is you smell the tip of the pen and then you write “a personal observation”of what your feeling and what you are attempting to compensate food for feelings triggered by emotional eating.
This really ties into last week’s “New York Times,” how the mind thinks about dieting and food.  If you get a chance to read it check it out.  April 22, it was an entire magazine towards it about body type also.  $10.
Great value to help you start writing and physically looking at the reasons.
I found these earrings at the Black Expo Natural Hair Show in Newark this weekend.  Kizzy, loves designer jewelery, but the price point that we had in the salon was out of her reach.  I hope she likes these… I fell in love with them.  Thy are light as a feather and “they will be GREAT for the summer.”  Check out the sisters website 2litecreations.com.  They are $14.00 – $25.00.. If you’ve been wanting a pair of real big funky earrings, this will work.  Deborah was nice enough to be my model.
I have the usual discounted flat irons… great prices.  The mini’s are now $20. Just over a year ago they
we’re $40.  The newest iron I purchased was a baby curling iron, soooo cute.  $20. also.  I also have
some professional irons $45 – $75.

Exciting April 2012 News!!

April Update!

This has been a very busy season for me with the Award Ceremony and two conferences: One hair loss and extension and Spa conference. Great new information, hair pieces
and education for the beauty world is great. I’m just finding it necessary to custom make hair pieces since I’m finding
no matter what age, clients still want to be EXTRA fly and have options….. which is all good.

It’s also that season to fellowship with Christ in his sufferings.
Philippians 3:10
Happy Holy Week

Please join us this week on our fast and decide to give up one or even two meals to unite yourself with the suffering that Christ experienced for us on the cross.

This is also for those around the world who suffer from hunger, oppression and persecution, like Trevon’s family in Florida.

When we hunger, we ask God to strengthen us and remember you are suffering with others as well.

  Leadership

Fasting begins today..and ends Good Friday, partake in sitting to have your meal and choose your time of day.

Drink water or as an option (lemon) or (Cleansing Purpose) lemon, dash of cayenne and REAL maple syrup with distilled water. Aunty J has formaldehyde in it so please avoid that.
-(Weight Loss) If you are trying to lose weight you can take advantage and do a green protein drink. (Canned juice or blend: add grapes, apples, pineapple lemon to enjoy the drink)
-Those who are on medication/or health concerns should give up t.v., alcohol, arguing, or something that you may feel a void in your life for 5 days.

If you weigh 150 lbs., you should try to drink a minuite of 60 ounces of fluids to keep the body happy. It should be half of your body weight minus 5-10 oz.

It is so important to “Remember to Live.” New York can be a busy city in the world and has a beat of its own. Spring is here and I pray you take the time to remember not to be in front of the t.v. or the computer while you can be reading a book in the park or going to lunch with a friend.

Makeup
Get your new Spring Look on receive 50% off lip gloss, lipstick, eye pencil, shadows, concealers. Just adding a little something different can help with some endorphines. :-) Till April 23, 2012

Hair

If you have color in your hair… very important to use a sulfate free shampoo or a shampoo for color.

Holistic
Since I have always suffered from anemia and I’m seeing more of this lately I wanted to share a few tips. Yellow dock is an organic iron, and used with a liquid chlorophyll will help for great maintenance. A beet salad everyday will also be helpful. I don’t like beets so I eat mine with turnips and carrots and blend them or chop all together.

Hair Dryer News
Nina has graduated and passed her exams yeah!!! She is officially “a nurse.” Please celebrate with us April 9th at Taj Salsa dancing
6p.m. – 7p.m. they have dance lessons and we’ll later head to Slate next door, ping pong, pool and fun 23rd St. in Taj 48 w 21st. St. Slate 54 W 21..

Liana at the Ion Awards

Dear Clients,

Thank you, for your support!
It is confirmed that I’m the “behind the scene kind of girl”
The process was challenging on the nerves.
I so love helping my clients for their special moments of being”Celebrities” and will continue to find ways for you to
be Fabulous Divas.
This is the video that was prepared for the Ceremony.
Keisha Knight Pullman was the Host for the event.
My brother made sure he received his introduction.
She asked me to join her at her Not for Profit program in Atlanta which was a kind gesture.
My sister Cassandra gave me the award and talked about us growing up which was endearing.
Hope you enjoy.
Peace & Blessings.

Liana Honored & Y.O.U. Products Sale

Greetings,

Last Saturday, Stephanie, Valerie, and Karen were giving me great feedback in regard to updating the clients of what I have been doing.

A couple of weeks ago I was honored to meet with Essence style and beauty teams. I had the pleasure of meeting and interacting with five dynamic African American stylists at the “Essence Roundtable,” thanks to Erica. Essence has been and continues to be the leader in gathering data to educate women of color on the integrity of hair products, services and issues of today. Beyond standard advertising for these products, Essence beauty and style teams are intentional about getting the information from the frontline to hear what clients are asking in regard to transitions in hair care for women of color.

I am also receiving an Ion Award Hairstylist of the year working in her community. It is an honor because I’ve been working with youth, and often times I don’t immediately see or reap the benefits until much later once they realize the information deposited was valuable and made an impact in their lives. That being said, they are hooking a sister up, flying me to Atlanta, and the reception will be at the Omini Hotel. I did a video, which I will send once it is approved by them.

It is BET Rip the Runway that I will be doing, which is always fun and the girls enjoy doing it. Unfortunately, I don’t always recognize the “latest celebrity”, but Nina keeps me looking good, LOL.

So please continue to let us know how we can serve you better. Tuesday and Wednesday’s are the days I dedicate to my Hair Loss, Wellness and Corrective clients so that has been working out well,
thank you.

Please pre-book your appointments accordingly. This coming Tues & Wed, my schedule will be open for everyone because I will be leaving Friday, they have a rehersal on Saturday… This should
be interesting.

I will be attending the Bronner Show in Atalanta so I’ll becoming back with some great new things. I will reduce all hair, makeup, and accessory products from Feb. 22nd – 29th 2012 15% except DS Labortories and Vitamins.

My Holistic mentor Nasir is in from Antigua and he will be giving a workshop. I’ve studied with him in the “bush” learning about the actual plants and experiencing their value to our bodies. So bring all
your questions. He has a talk show there called “Simply Health” The date is to be announced.
